The hotel provides a savoury and extensive breakfast with good coffee and also crepes made to order. The personnel is very professional and especially helpful, and the atmosphere is chic...

Modern hotel, air conditioned rooms and amazing friendly staff. Particularly good location relatively close to a large square. Romantic restaurant relatively close to the venue.
Awful views.

The staff's quick response to our room upgrade request made our stay incredibly smooth, and the lovely breakfast buffet set a fantastic tone for each day of our visit.

When I was choosing a place to stay in Barcelona, I had several special requirements: central location, proximity to the metro station, modernista-style building, big room with а bath, a balcony and a view, swimming pool, free wi-fi, reasonable price. It seemed impossible in the midst of touristic season, it took 4 days searching on the Internet to find this hotel and I was not disappointed in anything. Moreover: purfectly clean, bathrobes and slippers, soundproofed windows, incredibly careful and attentive staff, I couldn't expect all this in one hotel and our staying here was a real pleasure.

Interiors are very general without any personal touch.

The location is very convenient to the major attractions of Barcelona such as the beach, Catalunya Square, La Rambla etc. Everything is within walking distance. There are supermarkets near the hotel. The hotel is also only about a 12 minute cab ride from the train station. The room was spacious and clean and there was even an iron with ironing board in the room, although you have to ask for a card to activate the iron switch. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
There was no coffee maker in the room.

We had an excellent stay in the Acta Atrium Palace. The hotel is of a very high standard - the room was spotless and well furnished, and the bathroom was large and modern. The staff were very helpful on all occasions. The spa, though small, was lovely, although if it were busy it might be a bit crowded. The hotel was also located very close to the centre of Barcelona, on a busy street but in the posh end of town. This is an excellent hotel if you are looking for a high quality hotel in a central location; however, if you like a bit of a buzz about your hotel I wouldn't opt to stay here. We didn't mind that no one really frequented the hotel restaurant/bar - there are plenty of other places in Barcelona to eat and drink!

1. Breakfast buffet was excellent in range of choices and quality (E.G., meats, cheese, fruit, fresh tomatoes, fresh juices, etc.). 2. Friendly, knowledgeable staff 3. Location, location, location 4. Pool and Jacuzzi (great jets on the latter)
1. Double bed a bit hard and not as comfortable as it should have been. 2. Bath tub bottom was slippery 3. Jacuzzi was not routinely hot, usually tepid or colder 4. There is noise from the school athletic facilities for rooms at the back; only a real problem if you want to sleep with the windows open.

Distinctive architectural style, spacious suites, proximity to public transport
Consider better sound insulation between rooms!!! Address the slippery bathtub/shower for safety!!! Upgrade the room service menu to include more than just pizzas!!!

Good location about 4 blocks from Passeig de Gracia train station. Close to La Rambla, Placa de Catalunya; short walk to La Pedrera, a long walk to Sagrada Familia. Nice room with an extra sink outside the bathroom. Business center for guests with 2 computers, front desk will print boarding passes for you since there are no printers in bus. ctr.
It's noisy. We could hear people in the next room. We were very far from the elevator but could hear it rumbling. Hard surfaces in the hall amplified doors slamming, talking, etc. Our "view" was a huge school yard. Forget the afternoon nap - it was recess! In spite of all this, I'm giving it a thumbs up. Some people may not be bothered by the noise, and it is convenient to a lot of the must-sees.
